It is with great pleasure that the German CLL Study Group invites you to the XIth International Workshop of the German CLL Study Group September 21st to 22nd, 2018 at the Flora Cologne.
We have prepared an exciting program, featuring numerous international speakers from clinical and basic CLL research in order to encourage open and interactive discussions. Everyone with interest in pathobiology, diagnosis and therapy of CLL is highly welcomed to join our workshop.

YOUNG INVESTIGATORS’ MEETING (YIM) ON CLL
Please note that this year’s Young Investigators‘ Meeting (YIM) on CLL, will be held on Friday, 21 September 2018 on the occasion of the International Workshop of the German CLL Study Group in Cologne, Germany.
The YIM provides the opportunity for aspiring clinical, translational and basic scientists to share and discuss their research on an international level. Senior CLL scientists are also encouraged to join the meeting and provide their own views and experiences to the discussions. By this, the YIM has become a major platform for young CLL researchers to present innovative research, receive feedback and foster new collaborations.
With this letter we invite you to register online for this year’s YIM and to submit an abstract for presentation.
All junior researchers less than 40 years of age are encouraged to submit an abstract of 500 words or less related to basic, translational or clinical research in CLL. Authors of accepted abstracts will receive a travel grant to assist in attending the meeting.

CALL FOR LOIS – 2018/2019 HAIRY CELL LEUKEMIA FELLOWSHIP AWARDS
Letters of Intent for the 2018/2019 Hairy Cell Leukemia Fellowship Awards are now being accepted
The Fellowships are a collaboration of the Sass Foundation for Medical Research (SFMR) and the Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation (HCLF) to fund effective research into the pathogenesis and treatment of hairy cell leukemia and to encourage investigators to pursue careers in the field of hairy cell leukemia research.
Fellowships are awarded for up to $75,000 per year for three (3) years
Eligibility and Guidelines
* Fellowship awards are aimed at investigators who wish to pursue a career involving clinical or
fundamental research in hairy cell leukemia or related leukemia research fields under an experienced research sponsor’s mentorship.
* The investigator should be engaged in academic medicine as an exceptional senior post-doctoral fellow (in the 3rd or 4th year of fellowship) or as a junior member of the faculty (within 3 years of completing a post-doctoral fellowship).
